Before it was quite difficult to find vegetarian or vegan food, but now, in almost all the restaurants you can find these options. So now anyone can fully experience our gastronomy! Here are some of the best vegetarian restaurants in Bogotá!
Colombian gastronomy is traditionally focused on meat, but now, chefs have opened a lot of vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Bogotá. In some of them, you can find twists on typical Colombian food, like vegan tamales, vegan hot dogs, vegetarian empanadas, etc. I’m going to show you some of them by area.
Chapinero
De Raiz restaurant: This restaurant is one of the favorites of vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. They offer different types of food like vegetarian pizzas, veggie burgers, vegetarian tacos, etc. The price for a main dish is around 16,000 to 24,000 pesos (~5 to 7.50 dollars). Elektra Punk and Food: The concept of this restaurant is really different. It’s a small place with a lot of energy. They also offer vegan options. Their menu is not big but they offer vegetarian hot dogs, veggie burgers, sandwiches, and vegan ice cream. For a main dish, the price is around 15,000 pesos (~4.50 dollars).
- Where: Located in Calle 69a #9-65
La Cocinita Verde: Talking about Colombian food, this place offers vegan versions of traditional Colombian food like salchipapas, picada (the original version is a mix of meats, potatoes, arepas, and plantain), arroz con pollo (chicken with rice), etc. That’s why this place is amazing – because it has transformed typical food into vegan food. Prices are around 12,000 to 17,000 pesos (~4 to 5 dollars)

Chicó
From Calle 82 to Calle 100, and from Carrera 7 to Autopista Norte, you have a neighborhood called Chicó. Here you can find tons of restaurants (including vegetarian and vegan, of course), the Zona Rosa area (the center of nightlife in Bogotá), and lots of shops.
Salma Falafels: If you love falafels, this is the place for you (even if you are not a vegetarian). Here you can create your own falafel dish (pita bread or bowl) and add the salad you want. The price is around 17,000 pesos (~5 dollars)

Make out Colombia: this restaurant strives to use innovative techniques and creative thinking to prepare unprocessed food, delicious and highly nutritious. Here you can find bowls, sandwiches, pizza, burgers, breakfasts, etc. The price for the main dishes is around 20,000 pesos (~6 Dollars) and around 25,000 pesos (~ 7.5 dollars). Pot : This place is amazing! You can make your own dish, they give you different options to do your own hot pot, ramen or salad bowl. - Where: Located in Cra. 11 #82-71 (Located inside Andino mall)
Usaquén
In the north of Bogota, we can find a big locality called Usaquen. I’m going to show you some of the vegetarian restaurants from street 116 to Street 134.
Te Amo Lola Café: This is more like a coffee shop where you can find matcha waffles, golden milk, and vegan pastry. So it is a good place to spend time with your friends and relax.

Caballete & Berenjena Vegan Food: If you like international food here you can find it, this vegan restaurant has a variety of food like Russian food, Asian food, and Italian food.
